To all the members who voted for the two-tiered contract, who voted to give back money, bonus vacation days, and to accept substandard route pay, all in the spirit of “SAVING OUR JOBS” as Chairman Chucky put it, how’s all that working for you now?
Workers’ rights are not defined by law or contract. Workers’ rights are defined by struggle. You win what you are willing to fight for, not wait, plead, or beg for. If workers aren’t going to win, why should workers let anybody win? Bring them all down: the companies—Ryder and GM—the UAW, and the government run by two pro business anti worker parties.
stay solid, Gregg Shotwell
I have a comment and it concerns Ryder and GM’s decision to farm our work out to one of Matty Moroun’s, “low-life, penny pinch’n, low-wage pay’n scum-bag outfit! The guy is not well liked. Whoever it was that brought him on board might as well start looking for new employment…Matty Moroun is a public relation’s nightmare that we should beable to use to our advantage…I thought the President and his administration were pro-labor? Why would they bailout GM, when the premise for the bailout was to save labor, along with the middle class working family? We all know that Matty Moroun doesn’t care about the working men and women…Just food for thought, we might get some mileage out of this. 10-4!
what up hell makers keep it up ACC BOYS R CALLING ME ASKING W.T.H RYDER DRIVERS R UP TO.later BOB
Hi Bob, Feel Free to give them this website. We welcome all the support we can get.
Feel Free to Download One or Both Flyers. One is on the “our visit to UAW’s Three Day Bargaining Conference” page, and the original one is on the “Visit to D-Ham Assembly Plant” Post.
Ryder Drivers, Pro-Labor and Supporters…I wonder if some down on their luck Ryder Drivers can get some help from GM in getting our jobs back. I know it is a long-shot, but maybe GM has a different prespective since not too long ago they were in dire need of help. GM is in a much better position since the Goverment bailout and bankruptcy. So now, just maybe they will do the right thing. The Ryder Drivers represented GM for over sixteen years and were recognized as “Supplier Of The Year” on several occasions! GM now has the power to persuade Ryder Management to do the right thing. Ryder owe’s us DRIVERS more than just a kick in the a–!!! I will be there at D-Ham in support of my RYDER DRIVERS ALL DAY APRIL 4, 2011!! I might be delusional, but that doesn’t make me wrong! Thank You.
With negotiations coming up with the big three you would think G.M.would want to get along with the U.A.W.If you want a quality product you need quality people working for you.Why would G.M. accept scab drivers that nobody else would hire working on their property? WAKE UP G M AND DO THE RIGHT THING
Well, well, so Bob King sold us out. I would have been more surprised if he hadn’t. I’m not sure yet what Chris’s next move is, but part of it will probably be more picketing. Hope we have a better turnout than the last one. All you people out there, this affects you, so why the hell don’t you help out? Bob Serna also found a lawyer that seems very willing to take on a case against the UAW. This will be our last, but maybe best, resort.
